Terms

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms apply when you use this website or buy the course called All Reasonable Steps. Please read them before you buy. By buying, you agree to them.

1. Who I am

SafeStaff is a trading name of Mike Slaiter, . You can reach me at . In these terms, “I” and “me” mean SafeStaff, and “you” means the business or organisation that buys the course.

2. Who the course is for

The course is sold to businesses and organisations. When you buy, you confirm that you are buying for your business and that you have the authority to do so. If you are buying as a consumer, your legal rights are not affected by anything in these terms.

3. The price and what it covers

  • The price is £399, paid once. There is no subscription.
  • One purchase covers one business and 10 places on the course. Each person who takes the course uses one place. This includes you, if you take it.
  • If you need more than 10 places, email me before you buy and I will give you a price.
  • Payment is by card through Stripe. Your access starts when payment is received.

4. What you get

  • Access to the course lessons on the SafeStaff learning platform, for each person who has a place.
  • The Evidence File templates, which you may download and complete for your own business.
  • A dated certificate with a verification link, for each person who passes the course.
  • Updates to the course when the law changes, for as long as I offer the course.

Your access has no end date. You keep it for as long as I offer the course. If I ever decide to withdraw it, I will give you at least 30 days' notice by email so that you can download your templates and certificates.

5. Your licence

I give your business a licence to use the course and the templates for its own internal purposes. The licence is not exclusive and cannot be transferred. You must not:

  • share logins with anyone outside your business, or let more people use the course than your purchase covers;
  • resell, publish or give away the lessons or the templates;
  • use the materials to build or deliver training for other organisations.

You may adapt the templates freely for your own business.

6. The 30-day refund promise

Take the whole course. If you do not finish with a dated file that you would be content to put in front of a tribunal, email me within 30 days of the date you paid and I will refund the full price. I may ask what did not work for you, so that I can improve the course. I will not make the refund depend on your answer.

7. Training, not legal advice

The course is training. It is not legal advice, and I am not acting as your solicitor. It explains the duty to prevent sexual harassment at work and shows the steps an employer can take. It cannot make your business compliant by itself, and I do not promise any outcome in a complaint, an investigation or a tribunal claim. What your business does is your responsibility. If you have a live complaint or claim, speak to an employment solicitor.

8. The law the course covers

The course describes the law of England, Scotland and Wales as I understand it on the date shown in each lesson. The law changes, and guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission changes. I update the course when it does, but there can be a delay.

9. Using the website and the platform

You must not misuse the website or the learning platform. This includes trying to gain access you have not paid for, copying the content by automated means, uploading anything unlawful, and interfering with other users. I may suspend an account that does any of these things.

10. Ownership

I own the copyright and all other rights in the website, the lessons and the templates, or I use them under licence. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.

11. My liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow me to limit or exclude.

Subject to that:

  • I am not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss;
  • I am not liable for any award, penalty, settlement or legal cost that arises from a complaint or claim against your business;
  • my total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the price you paid for the course.

12. Ending your access

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, I may end your access. I will tell you why. You will not be due a refund in that case, except under the refund promise in section 6.

13. Your data

The privacy notice explains how I use personal data, and the cookies page lists the cookies in use. If you add your staff as learners, you confirm that you are entitled to give me their names and work email addresses.

14. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one on this page on the day you bought. The date at the top shows the latest version.

15. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If your business is based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in the courts there.

16. Contact

Email . I aim to reply within two working days.
